  • Mark Brown
    Joint Managing Director

    Mark has a breadth of corporate and commercial knowledge acquired from 30 years’ experience in a wide variety of businesses and industries.

    Mark started work as a consultant at Carmalor in 2002, taking joint ownership of the business in 2008 with Ian Whitehead.

    In addition to his day to day role, Mark’s key focus is directing strategy towards the profitable growth of the Company and ensuring that the operating objectives and standards are owned, understood and managed by the whole team at Carmalor.

  • Ian Whitehead
    Joint Managing Director

    A multi-disciplined Construction Professional, with experience in all aspects of the construction and development industry.

    Ian progressed from the architecture and design side of the business, through to Construction Management and ultimately Business Management.

    Ian started work as a Development Director at Carmalor in 1998, taking joint ownership of the business in 2008 with Mark Brown.

    Ian’s main focus is in providing construction and design support to the team at Carmalor and promoting the business to existing and potential customers.

Mark and Ian lead the team on a day-to-day basis ensuring that the business continues to grow, improve and deliver first class projects. Both are always available to meet and discuss your needs and suggestions.

  • Mark Wallhead
    Contracts Director

    A joiner by trade, Mark understands construction and the importance of quality. Progressing to Contracts Director, Mark is now able to share his wide range of building knowledge and experience with both clients and the rest of the team at Carmalor.

    Mark heads our team of Contracts Managers and Site Personnel and can be contacted to discuss any technical or building issues you may have.

  • Wayne Creed
    Surveying Director

    Wayne runs our surveying team and manages the project valuation process.

    Wayne joined Carmalor in 1988 and has a range of experiences from working on projects in housing, health, commercial, education, industrial refurbishment and redevelopment projects.

    Wayne’s primary role is to ensure the financial wellbeing of the contracts, not only from a company perspective, but also from the client’s perspective.

  • Chris Stubbs

    Chris joined Carmalor in 2012, and has over 30 years experience in estimating and surveying. His estimating role enables him to provide innovative and value engineered solutions at both the tender stage and throughout the build process.

    Chris deals with all pricing at Carmalor and is your first point of contact on any tendering and estimating matters. He will provide you with quotations and business proposals exactly suited to your needs.

  • Neil Stocks
    Purchasing Manager

    Prior to joining Carmalor in 2003, Neil worked as Senior Buyer for a bluechip construction plc and was responsible for all procurement in the West Midlands and North West regions on contracts up to a value of £8 million.

    At Carmalor, Neil is responsible for the procurement of all goods and services, as well as the management of the supply chain to deliver quality and value to our clients.

  • Ian Stevenson

    Ian spent nearly 20 years as a Quantity Surveyor with one of the biggest contractors in the East Midlands, dealing with all aspects of surveying on projects from £100k to £1.6m.

    At Carmalor Ian works closely with the surveying team and also provides estimating support and assistance.

  • Neil Stone
    Senior Contracts Manager

    Neil joined the team at Carmalor in 2001 having spent 30 years in Senior Site and Contract Manager positions for a number of medium-sized construction companies in the East Midlands.

    Neil is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and has a wide breadth of experience working on commercial, industrial and domestic projects.

  • Jennifer Welch

    Jenny is responsible for all accounting and finance within the company including payroll and internal audit.

  • Tracey Cant
    Accounts Assistant

    Tracey will most likely be your first point of communication when contacting the office, and provides administrative support to all the team at Carmalor.

  • JDA Safety
    Health and Safety Partner

    JDA are responsible for auditing and monitoring the Health and Safety on all Carmalor sites.

    This is an independent function that reports directly to the main board of the company.
